Lithuanian embassy in Paris together with CCFL, Industrialists’ Confederation of France (MEDEF), „Ernst & Young“ „Invest Lithuania“organized the seminar on November 18th to present the investment potential of Lithuania.

Discussion was moderated by the vicepresident of MEDEF, Mr. Thierry Courtaigne. He stressed that many important structural reforms were successful in Lithuania and the attention given to business environment has created a positive image of Lithuania as a country for business destination.There were about 50 participants representing French companies in the sectors of energy, transport, aeronautics, farmacy, investment and banking, design and communication.

Milda Dargužaitė, the Director of “Invest Lithuania” pointed out that France being one of the biggest investors abroad, is very little present in Lithuania, and invited French entrepreneurs to take advantage of Lithuania’s geographic situation, well-developed infrastructure highly-educated and competent workforce.

According to Mindaugas Gedvilas, the Director General of JSC “Amilina” which received an investment of 25 mln. euros from French company “Roquette”, their company has been chosen because of good geographic location, sufficient supply of raw materials and their competitive price. Besides, other important factors were a highly-qualified work force and a positive attitude of Lithuanian government towards foreign investors.
