Luxurious business and charity dinner “Diner de Gala avec Martell” organized by the French-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce (Chambre de Commerce Franco-Lituanienne) in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and the French Embassy in Lithuania
took place at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania on Saturday, November 8th. Evening aimed fostering Lithuania’s culture of estates, pertaining cultural heritage and strengthening of the relationship between the two countries.
First of this kind Gala dinner was attended by guests from French and Lithuanian capital corporate executives, business partners, country’s businessmen, heads
of public Institutions. Dinner was held in the Grand Renaissance Hall with an exhibition of authentic large-scale textile “Medieval and Renaissance Tapestry in Europe. History Woven in Treads”. Well known actress Jurgita Jurkutė – Širvaitė ant the author of books and publications Eugenijus Skerstonas hosted this glamorous evening.
During this fabulous evening guests were invited to taste Lithuanian noble estates cuisine – 4 meals of the Grand Dukes and nobility made from authentic recipes books and notes, with the pride of France – wine, Champagne G.H. MUMM and Cognac MARTELL.
World-wide known accordionist Martynas Levickis and “SinChronic” quartet filled the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania with special musical performance. Decorator of the evening Mantas Petruškevičius made the atmosphere very elegant and decorated the tables which were named after Grand dukes and knights of Lithuania. The evening reached its culmination at the Kempinski Hotel Cathedral Square where guests were invited to relish desserts made by Alfas Ivanauskas and his “VMG” team in a background of the sounds of Coronation music for Napoleon I. Later on guests were invited to continue the evening in a dancing ball.
