On 9th December 2014, the French – Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce and Klaipeda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, in cooperation with French Embassy in Lithuania and Law Firm Eversheds Saladžius, invited their members to the Business Breakfast and visit of Klaipeda sea-port and LNG terminal in Klaipeda.

CCFL and KCCI presidents, Alexander Husty and Benediktas Petrauskas, opened the event and H.E. Ambassador of France Mme Maryse Berniau welcomed participants by an introductory speech.

Afterwards, three speakers – Gerda Diniūtė, Senior Associate at Law Firm Eversheds Saladžius, Ramūnas Dilba, EU Structural Funds Management Department Deputy Director at the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania, and Vykintas Valiulis, Head of Tax Department at Grant Thornton Rimess, – gave presentations on business financing. Various classic and alternative funding sources vere presented analyzing their legal strengths and potential. Special overview was given to EU Funds and new EU perspective as well as Cohesion Policy possibilities in Klaipeda. Finally, insights on Corporate Income Tax Relief for Investment into Fixed Assets was shared with participants.

Mayor of Klaipeda Vytautas Grubliauskas having attended the event showed a great interest and attention for the initiative of strenthening business relations.

After the business breakfast, the KCCI and the Klaipėda sea-port directorate invited participants to the visit of the Klaipeda sea-port. It was a great occasion to take a closer look at the famous LNG terminal.
