October 2nd, 9.00 a.m., Klaipėda

At the very beginning of October, French-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with French Embassy in Lithuania, Klaipėda State Seaport Authority and Klaipėda Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts invited French delegation of Dunkerque, members of the chamber and business representatives to participate at the conference dedicated to logistics and multimodal transport in Lithuania. French delegation had an exceptional three days program in order to present them Lithuanian infrastructure and business possibilities, while others participated in the main part of the event – conference – which took place on 2nd October in Klaipėda.

On 30th September, having arrived to Vilnius French delegation had a chance to get to know about the capital and history of Lithuania by taking bus tour around beautiful places of Vilnius, which was followed by a traditional Lithuanian dinner at the entertainment and recreation center Belmontas.
On 1st October, the French delegation was welcomed by H.E. Ambassador of France Mr. Philippe Jeantaud, who gave a presentation of Lithuania. Economic advisor Mr. Jack Pillain briefed delegation with several economic insights. Afterwards, delegation headed for the meeting in the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Later on, the delegation had a meeting at the Lithuanian Railways with it’s representatives and visited Vilnius Intermodal terminal. Last visit part in Vilnius took place at the Lithuanian National Road Carriers’ Association LINAVA.

2nd October, the main day of conference, where participated not only the French delegation but also CCFL members and other business representatives, started with the keynote speeches of Economic advisor Mr. Jack Pillain, Deputy Mayor of Klaipėda City Municipality Mrs. Judita Simonavičiūtė, Klaipėda State Seaport Authority Marketing and Corporate Affairs Director Mr. Artūras Drungilas, representative of Dunkerque Urban Community Mr. Stephane Gouvart.

Conference was followed by networking and making business contacts. After lunch, programme continued with the guided boat tour in the Port of Klaipėda and visit of the Free Economic Zone of Klaipeda with presentation of logistics centers of “Autoverslas” and “AD REM LEZ”.

Three days visit of the delegation ended with the dinner in the luxurious IDW Esperanza Resort in Trakai.
