A big step forward: Iki opens a stand-alone store without cash registers

“Pixevia, an AI-operated store in Vilnius’ Old Town, has attracted the interest of UAB Palink, which runs the second largest retail chain in Lithuania, Iki.

The solutions used in the Iki Express 24/7 store, opened on Didžioji Street in the capital, are the first in the Baltic region. Iki’s investment amounted to EUR 100,000.

The new store was opened after signing a cooperation agreement with Pixevia, which became the operator and technology partner of the store. This store offers up to 500 “Iki” products without checkouts. It is mainly food, drinks, coffee etc. […]”

The Iki retail network currently consists of 231 Iki stores, 2 logistics centres, a culinary production centre and 3 regional bakeries. The chain employs over 5,800 people.
