Lithuania is ranked fifth in the Global Remote Work Index released by NordLayer.
NordLayer, one of the companies of Nord Security, published The Global Remote Work Index. The index reveals 66 countries’ attractiveness in terms of remote work.
According to the index, Germany, Denmark and the US are the top three countries for remote work and are followed closely by Spain, Lithuania, Netherlands, Sweden, Estonia, Singapore, and France.
Here are the main takeaways of the index:
European countries make up 8 of the top 10 places by providing the best remote work conditions.
Strong competitors from Asia and the Americas are Singapore, South Korea, Canada, and Japan.
Slovakia and Lithuania lead the cybersecurity ranking, while South Korea and Singapore outperform in the digital and physical infrastructure ranking.
Qatar is ranked as the safest country. South Korea has the fastest internet, while Israel has the most affordable internet.
African and Middle Eastern countries don’t make it into the top half of the ranking, the least ideal country for remote work is Algeria.
Countries with high tourism attractiveness do not make it into the safest countries except for Japan.
