On October 11th, the CCFL has the opportunity to visit and learn more about Utenos Trikotažas, the renowned textile manufacturer in Utena, Lithuania.

Established in 1967, Utenos Trikotažas is an industry expert that  boasts over 55 years of professional experience.

We caught up Nomeda Kaučikienė, CEO of Utenos Trikotažas and Jolanta Streižienė, sales director of Utenos Trikotažas.

One of the most modern knitwear in central and eastern Europe, which employs nearly 700 people and works with the leading and emerging European fashion brands.

The company offers high value-added, sustainable and innovative production.

We took a special tour of the factory and discovered the different stages of textile manufacturing: from design concept and yarn to the final ready-made garment.

Utenos trikotažas is committed to sustainable production: no toxic substances, zero waste attitude, 100% green energy, sustainable textile innovations and resource saving: made to order only.

Utenos Trikotažas hold various certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO14001, SA8000, OE100 etc. and also joined the Detox campaign of Greenpeace in 2017.

Thank you Nomeda Kaučikienė, and Jolanta Streižienė, for sharing Lithuanian Textile Manufacturing know-how with us!
