Lithuania reopens to European tourists

Lithuania has confirmed it is finally ready to welcome back travellers.

As of now, tourists from the European Union and European Economic Area will only need to prove they are vaccinated against Covid-19.

Paperwork to prove a traveller has recovered from Covid-19 or has tested negative will also be accepted, a statement said.

Lithuanian officials said it will also no longer be required to present a National Certificate (or another Covid-19-related document) to access indoor public spaces including tourist accommodations, restaurants, museums, sport or cultural event venues.

Professional mediation in companies: what for?

Relationships between people are a key element in the success, or not, of a company. And very often, this element is neglected by managers.

It is not forgotten, far from it. Team building activities, management seminars or even “Chief Happiness Officer” positions are proof of this. But it is neglected : the heart of inter-personal relations is often left out.

Indeed, in every conflict situation, the same elements are found. A better knowledge of these elements and of how conflicts work will allow any manager who has the means to do so, to promote an excellent quality of relations in his company or his department. But organizing a friendly event will not bring down the tensions that may exist in a department if they have reached a certain point. You have to go deeper.

And the professional mediator does this. He or she has the necessary tools to resolve conflicts and to create a serene atmosphere in the long term.

He can intervene directly, but also train a resource person in the company.

Thus, professional mediation can contribute to three objectives :

  • to resolve conflicts that are already in place,
  • to act in prevention, by training the company’s employees in relational quality,
  • and to assist in the management of change.

On this last point, it should be noted that changes are very often experienced in a negative way, because they are undergone by the employees. It is then a question of unraveling the issues that may be hidden behind the claims or blockages, and returning to healthy relations.

In fact, professional mediation is for any manager concerned about the well-being of his employees!
