On February 27, 2025, French-Lithuanian Chamber’s of Commers team was invited to the AIXAM salon opening ceremony in Marijampolė, Lithuania.

AIXAM is a leading French and European manufacturer of light quadricycles since 1983. The company started after acquiring Arola and has since become one of the leading microcar manufacturers in Europe. In 2022, AIXAM produced 18,300 vehicles with a revenue of €182.9 million.

During the opening ceremony guests, including CCFL team representatives, had possibility to explore AIXAM moped cars. Moped cars are the smallest size of four-wheeled electric vehicles (EVs). When unoccupied, these vehicles have an average weight of between 100 and 500 kilograms. Depending on the vehicle type and local regulations, their maximum speed varies from 25 to 90 kilometers per hour, this type of cars do not require car driving license (only a moped driving license). This is the type of vehicle that can be driven by teenagers (In Lithuania, 16+).

CCFL team members shared their insights about AIXAM moped cars, and agreed that; “It is innovative and interesting experience!”.

AIXAM opening ceremony brought together a lot of French and Lithuanian car industry enthusiasts and encouraged interesting networking opportunities. 

The mayor of Marijampolė city, M. Povilas Isoda, participated in the ceremony and gave a speech, he stated that it is a major achievement not only for the company, but for the city and it is thriving that AIXAM builds bridges between France and Lithuania.

French-Lithuanian Chamber’s of Commerce president, M. Anthony Poullain, had the opportunity to congratulate the owners.
