On March 7th Šiaulių Bankas announced their intends to change the bank name to Artea.
“The rebranding is a strategic change – part of the fundamental transformation of the bank, which we began last year,” said Vytautas Sinius, Head of Administration of Šiaulių Bankas, in a statement.
According to the bank, the word Artea reflects modernity and Lithuanianness – the similarity to the word artėja (approaching), and the bank’s logo would also be changed.
The bank’s shareholders will decide on the name change on March 31, and the changes are expected to be completed by the summer of this year.
In addition to the brand refresh, the bank also intends to implement a modern cloud-based core banking platform next year.
Having introduced a new strategy last year, Šiaulių bankas aims to significantly increase the number of both private and business clients.
