Strengthening Economic Ties: Meeting Between Lithuanian Prime Minister’s Advisers and French – Lithuanian Chamber on Bastille Day

On July 14, marking France’s national holiday Bastille Day, a high-level meeting took place between Lithuanian Prime Minister’s advisers—overseeing international relations, economic diplomacy, and regional development—and the leaders of the French–Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce.

The gathering highlighted both countries’ dedication to deepening economic and commercial collaboration.

Building a Bridge to Francophone Markets
Adviser for economic diplomacy, Taurimas Valys, emphasized: “We are grateful for the dialogue with the French–Lithuanian Chamber—their practical experience is invaluable in implementing Lithuania’s economic diplomacy strategy”.

Echoing this sentiment, Anthony Poullain, President of the Chamber, stated: “France is one of Lithuania’s key economic diplomacy partners in the EU. Today, we discussed how the Chamber can act as a bridge—helping Lithuanian companies to enter French-speaking markets, and French investors to tap into Lithuania’s potential”.

Key Participants and Focus Areas
Senior advisers Kęstutis Kudzmanas  and Povilas Saulevičius  joined members of the Chamber actively engaged in business across both countries.

The dialogue covered a broad spectrum of cooperation:

• Investments & innovation: exploring synergies in high-tech, green energy, and pharmaceuticals
• Export promotion: elevating Lithuanian IT, biotech, and clean energy offerings in Francophone markets
• Regional collaboration: sharing best practices for innovation ecosystems and regional development

Held on Bastille Day, the meeting served as a symbolic gesture of solidarity and intent—signaling mutual interest not just in political, but also in economic engagement.
