BACK TO |Civil Protection Education

On July 22nd, 2026, French-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce team and community members participated in the Lithuanian Red Cross – Civil Protection Educational Training.

Each of us can contribute to our collective safety—the more people who gain knowledge and skills, the better prepared we are to act in unexpected situations and help one another during a crisis.

During the events, listeners were introduced to:

  • Types of potential emergency situations, public warning systems
  • Civil protection facilities (collective protection structures [KAS], shelters, evacuation points), their marking, and purpose
  • Maps of civil protection facilities
  • Recommendations on how to set up a personal shelter
  • An emergency evacuation bag is presented, along with recommendations for the bag’s contents (equipment, documents, water, food, clothing, footwear, hygiene items, medication, pets, etc.); attendees are invited to practically try packing a bag, and a food supply plan and recommendations are discussed.
  • “Five-step program for your safety”
  • The importance of a family plan and recommendations.

Thank you to the Lithuanian Red Cross for this insightful session!
