Member News | "Šilalės II" wind farm is now opened

On September 5 Enefit Green, a renewable energy company, opened “Šilalės II” wind power park

Enefit Green invested almost 60 million in the “Šilalė II” wind farm. It consists of 12 “General Electric” wind turbines, each of which has a nominal power of 3.6 MW. The total installed capacity of the park is 43 MW, it will produce 160 GWh of green electricity per year

The two 200-meter-high turbines of the “Šilalė II” park were named after Enefit customers, thus emphasizing the importance of their contribution to the development of green energy. One of the turbines is named after the CCFL member Roquette Amilina company, which was one of Enefit’s first business customers to sign a long-term green energy supply contract. The second turbine will be named after Povilas Petrauskas, who became the 100,000th Enefit customer in Lithuania. Both the company “Roquette Amilina” and the house of P. Petrauskas will be supplied with electricity from this and other Enefit Green parks
