Sultys ir Pienas by MiamMiam

On June the 20th, 2026, Darbėnai will host the fourth edition of the French Gourmet Day “Sultys ir Pienas”, an event dedicated to French gastronomy, natural wines, and the culture of slow, convivial gatherings.

The event is organized by MiamMiam, a French gourmet grocery and natural wine specialist.

From 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, visitors are invited to gather at the French crêperie MiamMiam Guinguette, located near the Darbėnai pond and park. Guests will enjoy a unique introduction to French gastronomic heritage through tastings of more than fifteen French cheeses, natural wines, and a presentation of seaweeds from Brittany.

The special guest of this year’s edition is Jean-Philippe Rougier, from Beillevaire, one of France’s most renowned cheese producers. He will lead tasting sessions, present traditional cheesemaking methods, explain regional differences, and share insights into France’s rich cheese-making heritage.

The theme of this year’s event is the pairing of French cheeses and natural wines.

Special attention will be given to Chenin Blanc wines as part of Chenin Fan Week, celebrated by wine enthusiasts around the world.
For the third consecutive year, Emilija from Voilà! will join the event with a carefully curated selection of Chenin wines.

Visitors will purchase a specially designed tasting card featuring carefully selected natural wines paired with cow’s milk, goat’s milk, and sheep’s milk cheeses. They will have the opportunity not only to taste these products but also to purchase their favorite wines and cheeses on-site.

A major novelty this year is that admission to the event is free. Guests may purchase the wine tasting card that includes a selection of five cheeses and cheese assortments will also be available for separate purchase.

Throughout the day, the Crêperie will offer a special gastronomic menu created for the occasion. One of the highlights will be warm Crottin de Chèvre goat cheese served with “endives”.

French Gourmet Day “Sultys ir Pienas” aims to introduce Lithuanian audience to authentic French flavors while recreating the relaxed and convivial atmosphere of a traditional French guinguette — the open-air cafés traditionally found along rivers and lakes throughout France.

About the Organizer
MiamMiam is a French gourmet grocery store and online shop established in Klaipėda in 2017. Founded by Olivier and Rima Criou, the company specializes in carefully selected products sourced from small French producers, with a strong focus on quality, authenticity, and gastronomic culture.
Its wine portfolio is primarily dedicated to natural wines, and Olivier Criou is a member of the French Natural Wine Defense Association (Le Syndicat de Défense des Vins Naturels).
Since its creation, MiamMiam has worked closely with Bretalita, a logistics company that transports all selected food products and beverages from France to Lithuania.
